Jon Husted's Twenty-Year Pattern of Fraud, Donors, and Favors

A new report from Innovation Ohio shows how Senator Jon Husted has played a role in Ohio’s biggest fraud scandals:
A $200 million online charter school scandal involving the collapse of the Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow (ECOT), leaving 12,000 students displaced mid-school year.
An Attorney General-led investigation into the health care company Centene for Medicaid fraud, which concluded shortly before the state awarded the company’s affiliate a $20 billion Medicaid managed care contract.
“Pay-to-play” legislation (HB6) that granted a $1.3 billion bailout for FirstEnergy and kickbacks for utility companies, passed by state lawmakers following a $60 million bribery scheme.
Each time, everyday Ohioans bore the brunt of the consequences for actions they did not commit. And in all three cases, there is one familiar government official involved: Jon Husted.
