STATEMENT: Thousands of Ohioans Call for Gov. DeWine to Rescind Ramaswamy Endorsement
Innovation Ohio Launched Petition Urging Governor to Stand up for Children
COLUMBUS, OH — Today, Governor Mike DeWine urged Ramaswamy’s campaign to take down the vile ad featuring Amy Acton’s estranged mother.
Innovation Ohio and Ohioans across the state are urging him to go further.
In response to the ad, a petition from Innovation Ohio launched less than 24 hours ago urging Mike DeWine to revoke his endorsement of Ramaswamy and stand with vulnerable Ohio kids has garnered over 1,400 signatures and counting.
Michael McGovern, President of Innovation Ohio, released the following statement:
“Governor DeWine’s endorsement of Ramaswamy remains a stain on the record of a governor who has sought to build a legacy around the well-being of Ohio’s children.
Vivek Ramaswamy is clearly unfit to serve as DeWine’s successor. That’s why more than 1,400 Ohioans have signed a petition urging Gov. DeWine to do the right thing.
If Governor DeWine really wants to do right by Ohio’s children and survivors of sexual abuse everywhere, he will revoke his endorsement of Ramaswamy entirely.”
