Why is Vivek Ramaswamy at a conference in Utah?

You already know the answer: to help himself.

COLUMBUS, OH — While Ohio families are struggling with rising costs of nearly everything, gubernatorial nominee and Texas billionaire Vivek Ramaswamy is in Utah keynoting a swanky event hosted by the state’s governor.

This afternoon Ramswamy will give the keynote remarks at the Operation Gigawatt Summit at Deer Valley Resort near Park City, Utah (fancy!), a gathering focused on generating energy for AI and data centers.

Why is he jetsetting off to Utah in the middle of the campaign? We’ve got two theories:

  1. Vivek Ramaswamy’s top priority is Vivek Ramaswamy, so he’ll take any opportunity to talk up the dirty fossil fuel and data center corporations he’s invested in – it’s all about cashing in, as always.

  2. Vivek Ramaswamy’s top priority is Vivek Ramaswamy, so he’ll take any opportunity to build his 2028 Presidential campaign – he doesn’t really care about Ohio.

Bottom line: this is one more reminder that Ramaswamy is looking out for himself, not us.

“Ohio families need a governor who will find ways to bring down utility bills, grocery prices and the cost of gas,not someone trying to pad his investment account or build support for a future presidential campaign,” said Innovation Ohio President Michael McGovern. “As always, Vivek Ramaswamy is looking out for himself, not Ohio.”
